Pronounced BAY-luh. It is Hungarian and was the name of Dracula's most famous player, Bela Lugiosi. My cat had huge ears and sharp little teeth. Not to be confused with Bella which is Italian and a girl's name.

It is hard to spell, (sorry about that) but it has a soft 'sheee' sound, as in PurSHZeeNa, it sounds pretty. I named my first kitty this as a child, and recently I call my current 'baby' by this name too. I feel that it's a special name for a beautiful siamese type cats, in my humble opinion, that is...But, you can call your baby this too. It does not matter what breed they are, heck no! Everyone's 'baby' is beautiful in our own eyes, they all deserve a lovely name, at least a cute name, right?
