We were in new york when we bought him (unexpectedly) and tried all different names on the way home; they just didn't fit him. He got home, and it popped into my brother's head. He has SUCH a personality, and NEEDS to be around people all the time. Kind of goofy sometimes since he's so tall and lanky.
